KOTA SAMARAHAN, 16th December 2019: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) bagged one special award, two gold and one silver medals at the Seoul International Invention Fair 2019 (SIIF 2019), held at COEX Convention Center, Seoul, South Korea from 27-30 November 2019 recently.
UNIMAS participated three projects at SIIF2019, an exposition that is aimed to provide inventors from all over the world with comprehensive information on the commercialisation of inventions, patent information, and technology transfer. SIIF 2019 attracted participation from 627 projects from 27 different countries, with inventions from varsities, industries and research agencies.
A team led by Associate Professor Dr Saiful Bahari Mohd Yusoff with a project entitled “Design & Development of Smart Knock Down Fish Farming” won Special Award and Gold medal.
Another Gold medal was attained by a project entitled “VCO Solutions for Beauty Products” led by Dr Mohd Razip Asarudin, while the Dr Sze San Nah bagged the Silver award with her project on “Service to Establishing Digital Makerspace”
